Macy's 4th of July Fireworks (Downtown Manhattan)

Hi Bella's! 

I hope you guys had a great and safe 4th of July yesterday! As well as a great 4th of July weekend! I just wanted to share with you guys how I passed my 4th of July evening while watching The 2014 Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Show. 

Since 2009, the fireworks were near New Jersey but now they have come back to downtown Manhattan right by the famous Brooklyn Bridge. The South Street Seaport was filled at capacity with tourists & New Yorkers watching the fireworks. I actually live in the neighborhood and have a better view of the fireworks at home but I decided to be with the people. We haven't had this many people in downtown Manhattan in a very long time. 

It was fun to be with people from outside of N.Y. Who just came to see the fireworks. I'm not usually mushy but there's just something so special about seeing the 4th of July fireworks live with others around you who are also amazed by it. 

I have my little cousin's birthday party tomorrow which will be fun! I love kids! I'll update you more on the festivities tomorrow on social media.

Influenster Unboxing #VSSportTester/Review/First Upload!

Hi Everyone!! I know it has been a very long time since I've blogged but life just got in the way of things. I am back and ready to get to work. Since I've been procrastinating on uploading a video on my YouTube channel for a long time, I finally had a reason to do a video! Influenster.com sent me the #VSSportVox in late May 2014, I was super surprised and exciting to review the products they have sent me thanks to Victoria's Secret Sport.

Inside the #VSSportVox box is the new VS Sport Bra, a VS measuring tape and 6 pairs of VS Sport socks. It felt like it was my birthday with such great gifts. I will let you know now that I was not paid to do this review by Influenster and VS. I had the choice to make this review and my opinions in this video are 100% mine.

April Favorites!!

April has been a pretty busy month for me due to enjoying spring break! I hope all of you had a fun and fantastic spring break. No school, no work. Now it's May but I couldn't continue without officially starting to post my April favorites. Some of the products below I will be using every month. Soap & Glory Hand Food $6.00 (1.7 Oz.)

Soap & Glory's Hand Food, hand lotion is just yummy! I've always heard the beauty guru's rave about this hand lotion but I never smelled it or tried it. When I opened it up before I bought it, I  couldn't stop smelling it!! It smells like Spring! Flowers and Roses! It is a strong smell if you are a person who prefers fragrance-free lotions, I usually go for those types of hand lotions, but I couldn't resist the smell and how soft it leaves your hands. After washing my hands if I'm at an event or just out with the girls for dinner I will add Soap & Glory's Hand Food to my hands just in case I shake hands with someone. They will feel the non-greasy moisture on your hands and again, the smell!! 

Juice Couture Viva La Juicy  $92.00 (3.4 Oz.) $52.00 (1 Oz.)

Not only my April favorite but my Spring and Summer favorite. I'm sure all of you have heard or have smelled this perfume before. If you haven't, you should!! I personally own two of these in different sizes, I own the 3.4 Oz., which is the biggest I've seen, and the 1 Oz., the smallest in the spray bottle form. There is the roll-on version of this perfume but I never actually find it at Sephora because its always sold out. :( However, when I go out I take the 1 Oz. with me if my purse for the moment permits it. It smells really sweet and it's not as strong as other sweet scented perfumes can be. If you do not want to buy a second smaller version of this perfume, it's ok because a little bit goes a long way and it stays on all day if you spray on the rights spots. I've had people ask me what perfume am I wearing after a long day during the summer and their surprised at how long the scent has lasted without adding any extra sprays.

Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfecter B.B. Cream (Medium/Deep) (Prices Vary) 

Since the weather has been getting a little warmer I have decided to use as an everyday foundation, Garnier's Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfecter B.B. Cream in the color Medium/Deep.  I did my research on this product before I bought it. After reading many articles about this b.b. cream and watching reviews on it from my favorite beauty gurus on YouTube.com I made the decision to purchase it. I actually think I was suppose to purchase the one that is specifically for Combination/Oily skin but I didn't think it would make much of a difference. I still don't think it has. The coverage of this b.b. cream is very surprising. Not only is it SPF 15 but it's so light weight that you do not even feel it. It comes out of the tube a thick but you don't need to use much for a medium coverage. You can really build the product for much more coverage if you don't feel comfortable enough with a medium coverage. I like to use primer and set my T-Zone with a powder before I add any other products to my face so it will last all day. I did try it the first day without powder to set it and it lasted all day. I did have a bit of oil on my T-Zone but I normally get oily if I don't set my face with a powder. You can find this product at any drugstore or at Ulta.  The only issue is that they do not have many shades available. Garnier please add more shades for your consumers!!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original) $25.00

This is the best eyeshadow primer out there! It's worth the $25.00 dollars!! A little goes a long way with this eyeshadow primer. It does not crease at all. This product will survive 24 hours if your day is that long. Previously, I've had it on for almost 12 hours and my eyeshadow has stayed put without creasing. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is great for the everyone, especially for beginners. 

NYX Nude Matte Shadow (Dance The Tide) (Prices Vary)

This has become my spring transition eye shadow. It has a bit of a peachy-red tone to it but it goes perfect with my tan skin. Dance The Tide will go great for other skin tones as well if you add it into your crease to get that definition on your lid. I actually paid $5.00 for it at Ricky's NYC near me but the price on the actual NYX website is $0.50 cent's cheaper. If I would've known that I've would've bought another a couple more. This color reminds me of MAC's Brown Script eyeshadow but without the gold shimmer.

Welcome To Bella with Lisa-Carolina!/My New Favorite Satchel!

Hi, My name is Lisa Carolina. Welcome to my beauty blog! Isaac Mizrahi New York Alice Leather Satchel

I’ve been itching to write about this great satchel I came upon at one of my favorite places, T.J. Maxx. First of all, let me say that T.J. Maxx is the holy grail of handbags, depending on the location, you will go in just to look around but you’ll come out #Winning with a great bargain! For example, I went into the T.J. Maxx that is located in lower manhattan just to check it out and see what they have to offer in such a highly populated area. As I looked around the colorful isles of affordable handbags I happen to walk into what I like to call the “All Black Errrithing” section, I usually skip this section, and when I saw this precious Isaac Mizrahi New York Alice Leather Satchel we automatically connected! 

It was the only one on the floor and I just had to have it without looking at the price, hahaha. I tried it on with the cross body strap that it comes with and then I just carried it by the dual buckle-adjustable top handles that are normally stiff. I’m not always into satchels or handbags with stiff top handles to hold onto but I didn’t care especially after I saw the price! The original retail price is $258.00 but the T.J. Maxx price was 50% off! (Do the math) ;)

It’s a pebbled leather exterior with two top-zip closures, one is a capital “I” gold colored logo charm and the other is a black pebbled leather one with the words “Isaac Mizrahi New York” on printed on it.The interior material is made of cotton. Inside the two corners of extra material folds inwards so you can close the satchel and not deform the sleek structured shape it has. Inside, this satchel has medium and small slide pockets side by side at the front and a medium zip pocket at the back with a gold zipper and gold lettering on it. Yes, the interior is all black.

When I looked inside of the satchel and saw that it came with a beautiful light grey dust bag with pink straps and pink lettering. Its silky smooth texture makes you want to place your satchel inside wherever you are so that not one bit of dust falls lightly onto the exterior of the satchel.

Yes, I am aware that I might be a little to obsessed with a black satchel but everyone has that one bag that you are just “Coocoo for CocoPuffs” for! 

For one, this satchel has small to medium space, I’ll add the measurements as soon as I can find them. I can fit my Lancome makeup bag next to my Michael Kors rectangular wallet, plus, my keys, a Altoids heart shaped peppermint metal case, my iPhone5s, the dust bag, my sunglasses case and my mini bottle of Poland Springs water. I do carry a lot! Soon a “What’s in My Bag?” post will be up on my blog with pictures! I will also add pictures of the interior later tonight because I could not find them online. 

This Isaac Mizrahi Alice leather satchel will be my “Go-To” bag for the those quick meet ups with friends or a nice quick meal at a east village restaurant. I wouldn’t want to carry this one around for a regular shopping trip or just walking around the city, it’s too precious! Of course the Spring and Summer time is for colorful bags that bring your whole outfit together but black is elegant and chic, you just have to know where and when to wear it. ;)
